«I leave to various future times, but not all, my garden of forking paths.»
"El jardin de los senderos que se bifurcan", walking along one of the possible developments of J.L.Borges' novel, becomes not much a symbol as much as an interpreter of memory, catching only its bankruptcy and the contingency that stands at its roots.
Recordings pretend to be memories organized through a process stretched between randomization and arbitrariness; some objects get to lay there, broken, unpredictable, hovering between past, present and potential, forming an imperfect system.
If any event has countless futures, each present holds innumerable pasts intersecting in that place and in that moment.
Composed and recorded between April and May 2019 in Firenze, Siena and Copenhagen.
Mixed and Mastered at KU studio in Napoli by Renato Grieco.
Thank you Michał, Hein, Cosimo, Matteo, Renato for that spring.
A totally absorbing album, I love how the subtleties and intricacies grab and hold your attention. Melodies and rhythms weave around drone and noise elements which themselves have great movement. Field recordings add tension, at times there's a mechanical feel yet each song also feels like an unfolding story that you are a part of. Andrulian
